Job Description
This role reports to the Director, Business Management within the Production and Risk Services (PRS) team in Quantitative and Technology Services (QTS). As part of this team, you will be a key player in helping deliver insights to PRS teams and business stakeholders by providing ongoing input into process and reporting insights.
This role is responsible for assisting with Portfolio, Financial and Supplier Delivery activities including all BAU processes, tracking and reporting overall segment spend against annual budgets, support demand and NIE targets.
What will you do?
- Supports all BAU Portfolio and Financial activities including opening and closing projects, headcount and professional fees tracking, opening and maintaining approval for new positions, demand to capacity analysis and analysis of annual/quarterly/monthly targets to actuals/forecasts.
- Supports all BAU supplier delivery activities including oversight of work authorization processing, managing amendments to SOWs, invoices, business cases and statements of work.
- Assists in the creation of vendor fees and 3rd party dashboard to align commitments to recovery (where applicable) and invoice payment.
- Helps with the creation of executive level insights related to Supplier, Portfolio and Financial activities.
- Supports the weekly approvals process on open headcount, invoicing, contracts, etc. with the group executive
- Assist in resolving financial issues and conflicts in regards to Contracts, Expenses and Project funding/demand and Total Cost of ownership model.
- Keeps process documentation up-to-date.
- Automate manual processes and reporting where possible
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5 years in Supplier Delivery, Portfolio Management, financial tracking and executive reporting.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office Programs (Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and Word) and Tableau.
- Knowledge of RBC IT project forecasting, development delivery, system maintenance and IT tracking tools (MIS, Plan view, KPI metrics)
- Excellent analytical skills – proven experience conducting data analysis/discovery/aggregation as a foundation to providing meaningful analysis and management reporting to facilitate business decisions at a senior management/executive level.
- Strong communication skills, to synthesize data and simplify a complex problem for an executive audience
Nice-to-have
- Educational background in Finance or Accounting an asset
- Broad systems management experience
