Four Graduate Teaching Assistant positions to provide Technology Support in Smart Classrooms in the Faculty of Business Administration.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Provide in-class technology support in our high-tech streaming classrooms.
  • Supporting instructors with login to audio-video equipment with UR Courses and Zoom support. Provide system support and troubleshooting computer and audio-video equipment.
  • Provide virtual invigilation for classrooms using Proctortrack for midterm examinations.
  • Consult with Classroom Technology and Event Support team if/as required.
  • Provide final exam support (technology and administrative).
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Basic knowledge to troubleshoot computer and audio video issues
  • Advanced Zoom knowledge

GTA 1

Sep 12, 26, Oct 17, Nov 7, 21 & Dec 5 Fridays from 08:00 am – 4:45 pm
Oct 13 – 18 Tue, Wed, Thu and Sat from 08:15 am – 4:30 pm
Oct 23 and Oct 25 Thursday and Saturday from 08:15 am – 4:30
Oct 28 – 30 Tue, Wed & Thu from 08:15 am – 4:30

GTA 2

Sep 2 – Dec 5

Fridays from 2:45 pm – 5:45 pm and
Sep 13, 27, Oct 18, Nov 8, 22, Dec 6 Saturdays from 08:00 am – 4:45 pm
Additional 30 hours for other support.

GTA 3

Sept 2 – Dec 13

Mondays and Wednesday from 5:15 pm – 9:45 pm

Oct 17 Friday from 8:15 am – 4:00 pm

GTA 4

Sept 2 – Dec 5
Tuesdays and Thursday from 5:15 pm – 9:45 pm

Hours are subject to change with notice. Please state in your application if you are applying for GTA 1, GTA 2, GTA 3 and GTA 4 positions.

You must be available all days/times listed for the position you are applying for, no exception. There is no work during Winter break and during final exam period. Subject to work at College Avenue campus and main campus.
