We are looking for a Regulatory Analyst . The Analyst will play a key role in supporting department operations and strategic initiatives. This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities from monitoring and interpreting regulations to consolidating reporting processes and serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory department operations.

You’ll work independently, handle highly confidential information with discretion, and contribute to team coordination and events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, values accuracy and quality, and enjoys building streamlined processes that make a real impact.

Major Responsibilities

  • Review, collect and analyze financial data, including departmental budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and presentability.
  • Assist with issue papers and AUC decision summaries through research and drafting.
  • Manage the development and reporting of the regulatory strategy for approval by the Regulatory Steering Committee.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory policy changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality assurance, governance, and reporting for the Regulatory Commitment Registry and Workplan.
  • Coordinate agendas, scheduling, and material preparation for the Regulatory Steering Committee and Regulatory senior leader meetings.
  • Prepare departmental performance reports and high-quality presentations in collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Process procurement settlements, vendor invoices, and supply orders; coordinate meetings and events.
  • Support regulatory submissions (Transmission, Distribution, RoLR, Facility, Debt, and other applications) by conducting research and analyzing AUC regulations, precedents, and directives.
  • Working closely with the Regulatory Librarian, maintain SharePoint collaboration space, manage office logistics, and provide backup support for the Librarian during peak workload periods.

Education Required

  • University Degree in a related field with a minimum 4 years’ related experience or related diploma with a minimum of 6 years’ related experience

Experience

  • Knowledge and experience of electric industry regulations, including AUC decisions, legislation, and regulatory precedents.
  • Understanding of regulated utility operations and the broader regulatory environment
  • Advanced presentation development skills with the ability to interpret complex data, including financial analysis
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and SharePoint, with strong skills in Power BI, Word, and Excel

Salary: Analyst Level B (Current CUPE 2025 rates)

$82,426.89 - $87,584.77 - $92,742.65 - $97,880.69 - $103,038.57

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You have the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and will work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
