Job Overview FirstService Residential is looking for a Full-Time Strata Property Accountant (1 year Contract) to join our Client Accounting team. This varied role provides accounting services to our Strata Corporations across BC. This role is ideal for an experience accounting professional with strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets and monthly financial statements for assigned Strata Corporations.
• Address financial inquiries from Strata Managers and councils in a timely manner.
• Monitor and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable issues as they arise.
• Conduct financial analysis and generate reports as directed by management.
• Create ad hoc reports and undertake special projects as needed.
• Ensure adherence to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
• Maintain the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
• Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities and communicate issues.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies while performing tasks.
• Utilize software programs such as Yardi, CamAcct, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook effectively.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in Strata Property Accounting preferred.
• Extensive experience in preparing and analysing financial statements.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
• Experience with Yardi Enterprise
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and tight deadline is crucial.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Mandarin and Cantonese an asset.
