Westwood High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Junior High Science and Options Teacher.
Requirements: The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:
- Bachelor of Education.
- Experience teaching in a junior high school setting, with knowledge of junior high school science programs of study.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy, and Differentiated Instruction practices.
- Effective organizational and classroom management skills are imperative.
- Ability to integrate and use technology in a regular and virtual classroom.
- Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans as well as implement the plan for students.
- A strong ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong technology skills are required, with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.
- Flexible TEAM player.
