Providence Health Care is preparing for the opening of the new St. Paul’s Hospital in 2027 and continuing to strengthen the systems that support clinical and operational teams across the organization. Reliable digital tools play a critical role in supporting care delivery, facilities operations, and day-to-day workflow. This role supports those systems by ensuring platforms remain stable, secure, and responsive to the needs of the teams who use them.
Reporting to the Corporate Director, Digital Health Solutions, the Systems Analyst, Health Informatics is responsible for the administration and support of Health Informatics business and clinical systems, applications, and related automations. This includes Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and other designated systems or services. The Systems Analyst provides technical support to teams across Providence Health Care, assists with system upgrades and enhancements, and responds to system incidents and user requests while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.
In this role, you will:
- Support and administer enterprise health informatics systems used across PHC
- Provide hands-on technical support for clinical and operational teams
- Troubleshoot system issues and user access requests
- Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance
- Monitor system data to identify trends or anomalies that may impact operations

What You Bring:
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
- Three (3) years recent related experience in an information systems technical environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience in providing enterprise support in a complex technology environment and process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness is required.
Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in designated software applications and the ability to support, maintain, and administer complex systems
- Demonstrated troubleshooting knowledge for technical solutions and system issues
- Experience with database management, data querying, and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong skills in data research, gathering, and business and systems analysis
- Ability to analyze operational challenges and recommend solutions
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate business needs into system requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Your Day to Day
- Provide technical support for health informatics systems and respond to system incidents
- Troubleshoot user access requests and investigate system issues
- Assist with system upgrades and tuning to maintain system performance and stability
- Monitor system performance and identify anomalies in system data
- Document system configurations, automated processes, and technical procedures
- Develop and maintain support documentation and reference materials
- Support intake and triage processes for incoming requests and service issues
- Review and respond to routine access requests in accordance with established processes
- Create and maintain informational materials such as user guides and FAQs
- Provide training and orientation to staff on system use
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Senior Systems Analyst when required
- Participate in team discussions related to system improvements and service support
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and developments in information systems
- Perform other related duties as required
