About the role
Pembina Hills School Division requires a Regular Part Time (.50 FTE) Administrative Assistant II for the Information Technology department located out of Barrhead Composite High School. The Administrative Assistant II will support the Director of Technology and the Information Technology team. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. This position is 18.75 hours per week. The specific schedule will be determined jointly by the Director of Technology and the successful candidate . Duties are to commence as soon as possible.
Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate the distribution of inventory
- Source and purchase technical equipment and supplies
- Manage and track Division mobile phone contracts and usage
- Provide technical support for walk ups, emails and phone
- Deliver general Administrative support to the IT department
Qualifications:
- Strong service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management and attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, make independent decisions, and work under pressure.
- Experienced in financial processes, including accounts payable/receivable, invoice and petty cash processing, journal entries, and coordination with financial controls.
- Knowledgeable in Division finance and HR policies, procedures, and practices would be an asset
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, FileMaker Pro, WebHelpDesk, document management systems, and basic video conferencing tools.
- Demonstrates initiative, problem-solving ability, and adaptability to new tools and approaches.
- Familiar with educational environments, school operations, and related technology requirements.
- Office Administration Certificate would be an asset
