Responsibilities
- Audit the daily schedule for accuracy and opportunities
- Optimize the schedule to achieve weekly and monthly revenue budgets through treatment plan monitoring, patient information flow, and continuous patient contact
- Establish and facilitate long-term patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
- Provide the clinic with administrative and practical support when requested
- Gather and accurately record patients' medical, personal, and insurance information; ensure this information remains current for existing patients
- Accurately file patient information, ensuring that records are stored securely and handled in compliance with privacy and security regulations
- Manage inactive patient systems
- Track and process surgical pre-determinations
- Continuously follow up on unscheduled surgery list
- Coordinate surgery with other specialists
- Compose medical letters including referral and update letters
Skills And Qualifications
- A minimum of two years previous dental administration experience is required
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
- Ability to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other team members, and the community; a team player
- Customer service or patient relations experience; conflict resolution experience
- Ability to multitask while seeing and understanding the big-picture when making decisions
- Able to adapt to and drive office policy improvements
- Constantly striving for improved customer care and service
- Knowledge of Cleardent software is ideal
