Flexible hours; great work life balance** About Our Client This is a great opportunity for an Intern or registered Architect in the early stages of their career, looking for their next career transition. Be a part of smaller but well established Architecture firm on beautiful Vancouver Island.
This firm offers a 4 day work week - slightly longer days but an overall shorter work week, bringing a better work life balance to you on the island!
The firm focuses mainly on residential, commercial, healthcare, and public sector work, both wood-frame and concrete steel construction. They have a collaborative culture and a well established clientele across the island and British Columbia.
About The Role The Intern or registered Architect will be involved in all phases of projects, from design development, client management, contract administration, development permits, producing technical work / drawings, through to project closeout. The right candidate must have experience working with both small and large projects.
This candidate will have the following aspects;
- Master’s Degree in Architecture, AIBC Designated (Registered or working towards becoming registered in Canada/British Columbia)
- Minimum 4 years' industry experience, ideally between 5 - 10 years' total experience,
- Excellent experience working as an Architect in Canada
- Proven track record with projects in the commercial, institutional, multi-family and retail sectors
- Experience working with technical programs like Revit is essential
- Detailed approach to project management with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Passion for design and architecture with a strong leadership approach
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
