My client is a globally recognized manufacturer of heavy equipment components used across the mining and construction sectors. They are continuing to expand its footprint in North America and are seeking a strategic Mining Area Manager to lead commercial activities across Western Canada.
This role will report to a senior regional executive with some overlap with European leadership and will be responsible for driving product sales, managing distributor relationships, and supporting end-user engagement within the Mining industry. You’ll play a key role in expanding the company’s market presence while maintaining deep connections with existing partners. You will also work closely together with the wider team in North America.
Ideally based in Calgary or Edmonton. Candidates based in Fort McMurray wiling to relocate themselves are invited to apply.
Around once or twice a year there will be travel to European headquarters.
Qualifications: BSc or higher in a technical discipline (a plus but not necessary). Experience with sales in the mining market. At least 5 years of sales experience (earthmoving equipment experience a plus). Experience managing/leading distribution networks desirable but not a deal breaker. Good understanding of earth-moving equipment. Willing to travel just over 50% of the territory covered with this role whilst being home-based.
Compensation: Base salary: CAD$160k Bonus Monthly Car Allowance 3 Weeks of Vacation 8 sick days annually Health and dental Insurance Retirement Plan Travel Insurance
