About the role
As part of a transformation program for a banking sector client, CGI is supporting the evolution and modernization of technology platforms that support Treasury and Capital Markets activities.
This program includes the gradual migration of an existing trading system to a strategic internal platform used globally across multiple asset classes. The objective of this transformation is to improve operational efficiency, ensure greater consistency across front-office tools, and strengthen transaction processing capabilities.
In this context, CGI is looking for an Application Support / Functional Analyst who will be involved in both application support activities and functional analysis during the migration phase.
The role involves acting as a bridge between business teams and technical teams to ensure a clear understanding of requirements, the quality of implemented solutions, and the continuity of operations.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 application support for systems used by Treasury and Capital Markets teams.
- Analyze and resolve incidents related to transaction processing, application workflows, and automated processes.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in the analysis of functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Contribute to activities related to the application migration project (testing, validation, documentation, and release follow-up).
- Document application processes and ensure proper tracking of incidents and change requests.
- Participate in operational support rotations when required.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Experience supporting front-office applications or systems used in Capital Markets or Treasury environments.
- Good understanding of Capital Markets products, particularly Fixed Income and Rates.
- Experience working on application migration or transformation projects.
- Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders in an international environment.
- Technical skills appreciated: Unix/Linux, SQL, scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M), and Shell scripting.
- Strong service mindset, attention to detail, and ability to operate in demanding production environments.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000–$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
