Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site, hands-on role based in Fort Erie, ON. This is not an office-only management position. The successful candidate will regularly be involved in moving jobs, driving a 26' straight truck (G Class License required), working alongside the moving crew, and leading by example in the field.

This role oversees daily moving operations, including crew coordination, job assignments, scheduling, customer communication, and ensuring moves are completed safely and efficiently. The Operations Manager will train and support team members, maintain company standards, resolve operational issues, handle customer transactions, and help improve processes. This position requires regular attendance at our Fort Erie office and the ability to work long days when required based on job demands.

Responsibilities Oversee daily moving operations and ensure company policies, safety standards, and service expectations are met Lead moving crews on-site and assist with loading, unloading, and furniture assembly/disassembly when required Train, coach, and support employees while providing performance feedback Coordinate crews, trucks, schedules, and resources to complete moves successfully Communicate professionally with customers and resolve issues promptly Handle customer transactions and operate Point-of-Sale systems Maintain moving supplies and equipment Use leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills to support daily operations Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements Valid G-Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record Reliable transportation to our Fort Erie office and job sites Ability to drive a 26' straight truck or similar vehicle Open availability and willingness to work long days when required Physically fit with the ability to safely lift and move heavy items up to 100lbs+ Professional references required (will be verified)

Qualifications Proven leadership experience with the ability to supervise, coach, and motivate a team Strong communication and customer service skills Organized and capable of managing multiple crews, schedules, and priorities Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a hands-on field environment Experience in moving, logistics, operations, or a related field is an asset Previous moving or DIY experience is an asset, but not required Familiarity with scheduling software, dispatch systems, or fleet management tools is an asset but not required

Work Environment Work is primarily performed on-site and involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, loading and unloading, and walking on slippery or uneven surfaces. The role may also involve exposure to extreme temperatures and changing job site conditions.
