Mission
The Project Development Manager leads the technical development of the ATS (Automatic Train Supervision) system for the EBI Screen programs, a strategic initiative aiming to progressively enable effective coordination, to align software development activities with the product roadmap, supporting Regional teams with customer projects, growth of the competency and expertise in the new EBI Screen organization, delivering consistency in project reporting (progress, KPI, resource), managing project prioritization together with the Regions, Head of EBI Screen Product Family, and strategic planning for future ATS development, aligned with CITYFLO and INTERFLO solution management.
This role coordinates all engineering métiers, drives the technical roadmap, and ensures delivery of proof-of-concepts and demonstrators, acting as the technical counterpart to the Program Manager.
Responsibilities
1.Technical coordination & program development
-
Coordinate all technical métiers involved: System, Software, V&V, Safety, and Quality.

Act as the technical project leader, structuring activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring system-level coherence.

Define and maintain the technical roadmap and baselines in line with the Engineering Management Plan.

Ensure proper application of engineering processes, standards, methods, and tools.
- Product performance & technical delivery
-
Ensure that the system meets the expected performance and functional requirements.

Allocate and follow up on bug fixes and anomaly corrections.
-
Prepare, organize, and monitor Design Reviews and Peer Reviews across engineering teams.
- Program interface & support to the Program Manager

Act as the main technical interface for the program, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.

Secure coherence between technical baselines and both short- and long-term program needs.
-
Prepare QCD analyses related to engineering scope and support technical planning.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement: process optimization, lessons learned, KPIs, engineering workflow evolution.
- Innovation & concept development
- Support the creation of proof-of-concepts and demonstrators for future ATS solutions.
- Work in an innovation-driven environment, exploring new system and software architectures that are not yet intended for customer delivery.
- Test and validate prototypes on trains
Profile
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
-
A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience
-
2 years of experience in one of the following domains: System, Software, V&V, or other related field.
-
Proven experience coordinating engineering activities or leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
-
Experience in rail, automotive, or aeronautics is an asset.
Technical skills
-
Strong understanding of system/software development lifecycles.
-
Knowledge and experiences in agile processes
-
Knowledge of system architecture, requirements engineering, and V&V processes.
-
Ability to build and follow a technical roadmap.
-
Awareness of Safety, RAM, QCD, and product quality constraints.
Behavioural skills
-
Natural technical leadership and ability to bring multiple métiers together.

Innovative mindset, curiosity, and creativity.

Hands-on approach: willing to interact with teams on the ground and participate in train tests.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent transversal communication skills.

Proficient in English (written and spoken).
