The Town of Provost is a small but busy town located in east central Alberta, 19 km west of the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Provost is maintaining a brand-new Arena and sports facility as well as a Recreation and Culture Centre, plus several other facilities including ball diamonds, tennis courts and campgrounds. There is an incredible variety of sports activities, including a nine-hole golf course, a skateboard park, badminton, basketball, bowling, curling, dance, figure skating, hockey, soccer, softball, swimming and Tae kwon do. Description
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Classification: LPN - Operating Room Tech Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Acute Care, Emergency, OR Primary Location: Provost Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.75 Posting End Date: 23-JUL-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 02-AUG-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 45 Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends, Evenings Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $28.93 Maximum Salary: $37.90 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications
Must have the Peri-operative Certificate (ORT). Or completion of the Peri-operative education within 16 months from start date.
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years' experience in the OR. 5 years' experience or more as an LPN.
