Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Lead Custodian to join our team in Victoria, Canada. The successful candidate will oversee custodial operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for our facility.

Supervise and coordinate a team of custodians, assigning tasks and schedules

Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed

Train new custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
-
Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies and special requests
-
Implement and maintain cleaning schedules for all areas of the facility
-
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
-
Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues
-
Prepare and submit reports on custodial operations and team performance
-
Identify and recommend improvements to cleaning processes and procedures
Qualifications

3-5 years of custodial experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Proficiency in using various cleaning equipment and supplies

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent time management and organizational abilities

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail

Basic computer skills for report writing and inventory management

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations

Familiarity with building maintenance practices
-
OSHA safety certification preferred
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Additional Information
Evening Shift and may require working on Weekends
