Job Description Job Title: Electrician Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time Sector: Property Services Location: West London Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 Pay Rate: £22.00 - £24.00 per hour We're looking for a Electrician to support maintenance works across a single housing estate in West London. This is a static role based within a well-established neighbourhood, with all properties located within walking distance.
A secure on-site lock-up is provided for tool storage, eliminating the need to carry equipment to and from the estate each day. While a van and fuel card are not issued for this role, a pool van is available on the estate for use during work hours if needed.
Responsibilities
- Performing a comprehensive range of responsive repairs, maintenance tasks, and planned works.
- Identifying and resolving electrical faults reported by tenants.
- Addressing urgent electrical issues, including power outages, faulty wiring, and safety hazards.
- Installing new electrical systems, such as lighting, sockets, consumer units, and complete rewiring in both occupied and vacant properties.
- Conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and necessary remedial work to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Upholding a professional and respectful demeanour when engaging with residents and housing staff.
- Using a hand held electronic device to receive job instructions, update progress, and log completed works.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018
- Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (2365)
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations (2357)
