Junior Mechanical Engineer #739
About the role
Are you passionate about mechanical engineering and want to make a tangible contribution to manufacturing operations? As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role at the heart of projects by supporting the design, optimization, and validation of sheet metal parts and welded mechanical structures. Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer requests (DXF, STEP, PDF files).
- Verify the compliance of drawings (thickness, revisions, tolerances).
- Adapt designs for manufacturing: laser cutting.
- Participate in quotations (feasibility validation and time estimation).
- Identify problematic parts: excessive drilling → risk of warping, tight tolerances (+0.015 / -0.000).
- Provide support for nesting and laser programming.
- Offer technical support on the shop floor for laser cutting, bending, and welding.
- Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements:
- DEC or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0 to 3 years of experience (junior profile).
- Experience in metal manufacturing (major asset).

- Advanced reading of technical drawings.
- Fluent in French; technical English used approximately 25% of the time to communicate with some team members.
Salary: Between $22 and $30 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
