POSITION: Manager, Facilities Management
Alliance Wide
Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Facilities Management is responsible for overseeing and directing the day-to-day supervision, operation and prioritization of workflow, and the safe operation of the power plant and building equipment through the Alliance.
REPORTS TO: Director, Facilities Management and Environmental Services
DATE REQUIRED: As Soon As Possible
SALARY: $134, 547.00 per annum
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid provincial certificate of qualification by the Ontario Ministry of Skills and Development for the Province of Ontario in a relevant trade, i.e., millwright, plumber, biomedical engineer, carpenter, electrician, HVAC or stationary engineer, or completion of a 2-year Community College Diploma required
- Project Management and Lean Certification preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Seven plus years of experience as a qualified tradesperson in a relevant trade.
- More than seven years experience as a supervisor/manager in a healthcare setting preferred.
ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge to lead multiple trades
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, mentoring, team development, conflict resolution, consultation and interpersonal relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledgeable in safe practice procedures and accident prevention, including WHMIS and Material Safety Data Sheets
- Computer Literate
- Responsible for prioritizing and ensuring completion of duties/projects
- Able to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Evidence of continued professional growth and/or professional development
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and complete projects as identified
- Computer Literate, Meditech and Microsoft Office applications as minimum software usage will be required.
