We are seeking a proactive, relationship-oriented, and goal-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to play a key role in expanding Prepr’s reach and impact. This role focuses on identifying and engaging new employer leads, nurturing relationships, and generating qualified opportunities that support our workforce development programs.
The ideal candidate will bring strong prospecting and communication skills, a growth mindset, and a passion for helping employers connect with emerging talent. They will excel at initiating conversations with potential partners, understanding their needs, and positioning Prepr’s solutions to create meaningful collaborations that drive learner success and employer value

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify prospects, generate leads and build relationships by organizing daily work schedule to connect with existing and potential customers by reaching out to them via various channels (e.g. email, LinkedIn)
- Conduct qualifying sales calls and manage the sales cycle
- Possess in-depth product and program knowledge, conduct demos, and handle objections
- Understand the ecosystem, including research on the value of Prepr’s solutions
- Track sales, proposals, and other project activities and prepare concise and accurate sales reports on the deal pipeline
- Support with developing presentations, proposals, and other required documentation for executive-level presentations
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs, identifying the program that is the best fit, and following the sales process to close the deals
- Coordinate with other sales representatives to ensure targets are met, and support the growth of the organization
- Workforce Insights: Consult with employers to understand workforce trends and skills gaps, using these insights to inform Prepr’s curriculum development.
- Participant Matching: Collaborate with the training team to match participants with opportunities that align with employer requirements and learner goals.
- Make a minimum of 100 calls per day, 500 calls per week, and book a minimum of 20-25 discovery and demos per month
- Use an Agile approach throughout all stages of work to deliver on sales targets

- At least 2 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or another relevant field
- Expertise using tools such as Outreach, Salesforce, and Apollo
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bonus Points If You:
- Have a bachelor's degree in business, marketing or another relevant field
- Are familiar or have experience with the AGILE methodology
- Have worked in a scaling start-up or a growing small-business environment
What We Offer:
- $50,000 - $65,000/year based on experience

What Success Looks Like:
First 30 Days – Foundation & Familiarization
- Complete onboarding and gain a deep understanding of Prepr’s mission, programs, and value propositions for employers.
- Become proficient with sales tools (Outreach, Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Learn and begin using Prepr’s outreach cadences, messaging templates, and CRM processes.
- Shadow discovery calls and demos to observe effective sales conversations and objection handling.
- Begin light prospecting and booking introductory calls under guidance.
- Establish a standardized outreach rhythm (100 calls/day, 500 calls/week).
90 Days – Consistency & Conversion
- Independently manage a full prospecting schedule with consistent daily outreach and follow-ups.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified employer leads aligned with target sectors and program objectives.
- Consistently book 20-25 qualified demos per month with potential employer partners.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge in discovery calls and confidently communicate Prepr’s impact.
- Begin closing small or mid-level deals with support from senior sales or partnerships team members.
- Deliver accurate weekly reports and pipeline forecasts using CRM data.
- Receive positive feedback from leads and the internal team on professionalism and communication quality.
6 Months – Growth & Leadership
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly demo and conversion targets.
- Manage the full sales cycle for assigned opportunities from prospecting to close.
- Develop repeatable outreach and follow-up strategies that consistently generate high-quality leads.
- Act as a trusted first point of contact for employer partners, building lasting relationships.
- Contribute to refining outreach scripts, pitch decks, and sales enablement materials.
- Identify patterns and insights in the market to help shape Prepr’s employer engagement strategy.
- Mentor or support new SDRs as the team scales, sharing best practices and proven approaches.
