About the role
Purpose The IT Product Manager reports to the Director, IT Product Management.
Our company, a leader in providing compelling and unique rail journeys, is looking to innovate within the rail tourism industry by delivering cutting-edge solutions that transform our guest and partner experience. We’re seeking a highly innovative and collaborative IT Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the product operating model, with a proven track record of leading product teams delivering exceptional product experiences.
The IT Product Manager will be dedicated to the development of our sales partner, hotel, and supplier gateways. There is a tremendous opportunity to power our business with real-time travel product pricing, and payment exchange to boost bookings while reducing the cost of serve across hundreds of existing and new business channels.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Product Leadership: Collaborate with senior leaders to set quarterly objectives and problems to solve, guiding the product team to achieve them
- Guest Focus: Engage regularly with guests, championing their voice and ensuring their needs and feedback are central to product development decisions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong internal partnerships with engineering, design, marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams and foster external relationships with business partners and customers
- Market & Data Analysis: Conduct thorough internal and external research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, using data to inform and drive product strategy
- Product Development: Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to value realization by ensuring the delivery of timely insights, prototypes, tests, and solutions
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure product success and inform future strategies, consistently communicating results back to senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Innovation: Drive a culture of innovation, encouraging creative solutions and continuous improvement across product team.
Qualifications Education/Certifications/Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in product management or related roles (ex. engineering, design, delivery, product marketing)
- Proficient in the product operating model, agile methodologies, and product development lifecycle
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive results
Skills
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Work Environment
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Corporate Office – Vancouver based; hybrid role with a minimum 3 days / week in the office
Compensation
- The base salary offered for this role is $95,000 to $110,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
- Eligible for Armstrong Collective’s discretionary bonus program
