Position #: 195522 Expected Start Date: July 06, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: St. Joseph's Health Facility - SHA City/Town: Macklin Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.75 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Number of Hours per Rotation: 336 hours per 12 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: EMS Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medial Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Valid Class 4 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)- Current CPR certification- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)Competencies- Basic - Interpersonal skills- Verbal communication skills- Written Communication Skills- Listening skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team- Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking- Knowledge of EMS Practitioners legislation/protocols/scope of practice- Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations- Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)- Familiar with the ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
