Summary:
Postmedia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to fill the full-time position of Sales Engineer. We are an expanding team that actively promotes a culture of collaboration in everything we undertake.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced digital marketing professional, a Bachelors degree in Marketing or relevant field and minimum of 3 years of experience at an agency. You have excellent knowledge of analytics tools and campaign evaluation metrics along with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
What You'll Do:
- Develop digital marketing strategies, tactical plans and recommended budgets to meet and exceed client’s marketing/business goals and objectives
- Add the necessary technical expertise and digital marketing insight to complement the Account Executive team – focusing on the solutions that will drive long term results for our clients
- Maintain positive and proactive line of communication between all lines of business as well as senior leadership
- Act as a subject matter expert, contributing to Postmedia and client confidence, as well as sound business recommendations
- Work with sales teams to uncover and develop client business needs
- Coordinate with Postmedia fulfillment and research teams to guide strategy recommendations
- Prepare presentations which outline client goals, audience research, analytics and strategy recommendations - Accurately and confidently convey the vision of the campaign strategy
- Assist sales team in presenting and closing new business opportunities
- Ensure that industry and solution training is always current
Who you are:
- A comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape, integrated advertising trends and best practices.
- Proven track record of leadership and integrity
- Confident in client meetings and a strong communicator (verbal & written)- Being able to communicate your ideas in a way that will make sense to others and having a sense of what others will find interesting, entertaining and worthwhile
- Advanced knowledge of multiple digital advertising channels including Meta, LinkedIn, Spotify, Google (Search, Display, Video, Shopping, Mobile, Video, Analytics) and have a very good understanding of SEO – certifications from Google and Facebook is an asset.
- Ability to deliver strategic, performance-driven solutions leveraging a wide range of paid and organic marketing strategies
- Track record of coaching and enabling a rapidly growing sales team - continually challenging them to raise the bar
- Analytical and strategic, you can interpret results and trends, conveying ROI to clients.
- Easily adapt to a fast-moving, dynamic setting with minimal need for direct oversight. Can think creatively and independently to resolve conflict as well as solve problems.
- Exceptional aptitude for effectively overseeing and coordinating numerous projects and meeting deadlines
- Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
