About the role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate has a strong scientific background in 3D vision and multimodal sensor fusion, experience applying these methods at scale, and a deep appreciation for translating cutting-edge research into high-performance, production-grade systems
- Particular areas of interest are streaming representations and multimodal conditioning for Geometric Foundation models
- If you are passionate about next-generation SLAM, scene understanding, and real-world autonomy challenges — we’d love to hear from you
- Working on a PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on Machine Learning, AI, or Computer Vision
- PhD-level research experience developing and deploying 3D vision or spatial AI systems in real-world settings
- Proficiency in Python, and familiarity with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, and others
- Understanding of evaluation methodologies for deep learning and spatial perception systems (e.g., metrics, validation strategies, ablations)
- Hands-on experience with SLAM/SFM systems using a combination of traditional and learning-based approaches, ideally using multimodal sensor data (e.g., RGB, LIDAR, RADAR, IMU)
- A strong data mindset: enthusiasm for high-quality data pipelines, large-scale datasets, curation practices, and scaling laws
- Motivation to take research ideas from prototype to robust, production-level systems
- Desirable:
- Track record of scientific contributions through publications at venues such as CVPR, ICCV, CoRL, NeurIPS, ICML, ICRA, RSS, AAAI
- Experience in bridging research and applied engineering, particularly within robotics or autonomous systems
What the job involves
- We are looking for a curious and motivated Intern to join our team in advancing Multimodal Spatial Intelligence technologies for autonomous driving
- In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with experienced researchers and engineers, gaining hands-on experience with state-of-the-art models, data pipelines, and experimental methods for autonomous systems
- This is an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge work while learning from leaders in computer vision, sensor fusion, and robotics
