We are searching for a Construction Labourer to join our Construction team. In this hands-on role you will provide support to construction sites and teams by maintaining site cleanliness and safety, coordinating and inspecting materials, assisting subcontractors, and participating in training to ensure efficient, high‑quality progress through all stages of home construction.
Please note the internal title for this role is Site Personnel.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe site, ensuring homes are prepared before and after subcontractor work and ready for upcoming construction stages.
- Complete assigned daily tasks and to-do items with a high level of quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Source, receive, verify, organize, and deliver materials (e.g., brick, lumber, shingles) to support timely and accurate subcontractor work.
- Inspect finished installations (such as cabinets and flooring) for defects or colour discrepancies and report issues to the General Manager.
- Promptly identify, address, and/or report any unsafe working conditions to the General Manager.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with Fusion Homes’ health and safety standards, and document or report all incidents; non‑compliance may result in fines.
- Complete required safety training courses to maintain current certifications and ensure compliance.
What You Bring to the Table:
- High School Diploma, Post-Secondary Education (e.g., Carpentry, Construction Techniques, etc) preferred.
- Industry experience is an asset but not required! We provide the training and support needed to help you develop strong construction skills and build a successful career.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a genuine eagerness to learn and grow.
- Possess the practical skills required to perform hands‑on construction tasks effectively.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail with a consistent focus on achieving quality results.
- Must hold a valid G license with clean driver’s abstract.
- Health & Safety certifications (Worker Awareness, WHMIS, Working at Heights, First Aid) are considered an asset.
