About the role

The Martensville-Warman Early Years Family Resource Centre (MWEYFRC) offers programming, services, and resources for all families with young children, prenatal to age five. The MWEYFRC aims to provide families with positive early learning experiences and opportunities to connect, grow, and learn together in an inviting, safe, and supportive setting.

The Program Facilitator plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and enriching environment for children and families. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, culturally responsive, and passionate about early childhood development, family engagement, and delivering meaningful programming.

Position Details

This is a part-time casual position with flexible hours based on program and centre needs. Shifts may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Hours will vary week to week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging, age-appropriate activities for children (prenatal to age 5) and their families.
  • Support the development and implementation of program activities in collaboration with Program Designers and the Centre Coordinator.
  • Create crafts and play experiences that encourage exploration and learning.
  • Connect families to community resources and professionals as needed.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, accessible, and welcoming environment for diverse families, including newcomers, Indigenous families, single parents, and those with children of varying abilities.
  • Assist with daily centre operations such as organizing, cleaning, data entry, and preparing materials.
  • Support communication, outreach, and promotion efforts (e.g., community events or social media).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preference for candidates with an ECE Certificate/Diploma or equivalency.
  • Experience working with children ages 0–5 and their families.
  • Ability to take initiative and adapt programming to meet family needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Respectful, empathetic, and professional approach in all interactions.
  • Creativity and flexibility in planning and delivery.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of community resources.
  • Artistic, musical, or storytelling abilities considered an asset.
