About the role
Pembina Hills School Division (PHSD) invites applications for a Temporary Full**-time Speech Language/Occupational Therapy Aide.**
As part of the Division Student Services team, you will be responsible for following program goals as outlined by the supervising Speech Pathologists and/or Occupational Therapists. You will work individually and in partnership on activities for individual and/or groups as directed. You will participate in on-going consultation with the supervising therapists regarding intervention services. You will be required to maintain appropriate documentation: accurate and complete written records of contact with clients, caregivers or other professionals involved.
Hours of work will be 7.5 hours per day and will follow the school calendar. Duties are to commence October 1, 2025 and will end June 25, 2026.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary training in either Speech Language or Occupational therapy from a recognized institution
- Experience working with students requiring SLP and/or OT intervention
- Experience working with preschool and school aged children
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
- Must demonstrate ability to work as a member of a team
- Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
- Ability to work in a flexible learning environment
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be available to travel and have access to a vehicle
- First aid would be an asset
