Ton rôle chez LDV: Résoudre des problématiques mécaniques pour les groupes turbine-alternateur dans le secteur hydroélectrique; Concevoir et réhabiliter des systèmes mécaniques complexes; Réaliser des calculs mécaniques (statique, dynamique, thermodynamique…) pour valider la faisabilité des projets; Concevoir des outillages et équipements de manutention pour des pièces complexes; Gérer et coordonner des projets tout en apportant ton expertise aux équipes sur le terrain; Apporter un soutien technique lors de la fabrication, de l’installation et de la mise en route des équipements.
Ce que nous recherchons chez toi : Baccalauréat en génie mécanique; Membre en règle de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) ou de Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), ou admissible à l'inscription auprès de l'un de ces organismes; Plus de 5 ans d’expérience en mécanique lourde ou dans le secteur de l’hydroélectricité ; Un souci du détail et une volonté d’offrir des solutions techniques adaptées aux besoins des clients; Disponibilité à se déplacer parfois chez des clients et dans des centrales hydroélectriques.
Tes atouts supplémentaires : Connaissances en matériaux et procédés de soudage, normes de soudage; Expérience en tolérancement géométrique; Être familier avec Excel, Mathcad et SMath; Compétences relationnelles pour travailler en équipe et maintenir des échanges fluides avec nos clients et partenaires ; Bilinguisme (un grand pourcentage de nos clients sont anglophones).

Do you have experience in heavy industry (machining, welded fabrication), material handling (tooling, overhead cranes, lifting equipment), or rotating equipment? Take your expertise to the next level by working in one of the world's most strategic and sustainable industries: hydropower.
At LDV, you'll join a specialized team of approximately 20 professionals dedicated to the refurbishment of hydroelectric turbine-generator units, working alongside recognized experts in the field. You'll work alongside industry experts in a collaborative environment where technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning are at the heart of every project.
What your day-to-day will look like : Participate in major hydropower rehabilitation projects; Be involved in both engineering design and field work; Work in manufacturing shops and hydroelectric generating stations; Contribute to large-scale projects across North America.

Your role at LDV : Solve mechanical challenges related to hydro turbine and generator systems; Design and refurbish complex mechanical systems; Perform mechanical calculations (structural, dynamic, thermodynamic, etc.) to validate project feasibility; Design specialized tooling and material handling equipment for complex components; Manage and coordinate projects while providing technical expertise to field teams; Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
What we’re looking for : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligible for registration with either organization. More than 5 years of experience in heavy mechanical engineering or the hydropower industry; Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering technical solutions tailored to client needs; Availability to travel occasionally to client sites and hydroelectric facilities.
Additional assets : Knowledge of materials, welding processes, and applicable welding standards; Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); Proficiency with Excel, Mathcad, and SMath; Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and colleagues; Bilingualism (French and English), as many of our clients are English-speaking.
