The project: The Lead Scheduler / Planning Lead is responsible for the development, maintenance, and assurance of the integrated project schedule during the construction phase of a major infrastructure or built‑environment project. Working closely with the Project Leader / Project Manager, Commercial Manager / Cost Control Lead, and Contract Administrator, the Lead Scheduler provides a robust, transparent, and auditable view of project progress, critical path, and schedule risk.

The role supports informed decision‑making through accurate programme reporting, forecasting, and schedule impact analysis within formal governance or regulated delivery environments.

You’ll need to have:

  • Proven experience leading scheduling or planning functions on complex construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path, and schedule risk.
  • Experience operating within formal governance, assurance, or public‑sector environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical, commercial, and site information into clear programme outputs.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical capability.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence presenting programme information to senior stakeholders.

You’ll also have

  • Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in industry‑standard scheduling tools.
  • Experience supporting claims analysis, delay assessment, or recovery planning.
  • Understanding of the relationship between programme, cost, and risk.
  • Ability to balance technical planning discipline with practical delivery realities.

Note: The estimated salary for this position is 130,000-180,000 CAD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
