About the workplace
As a Senior Analyst Programmer, you will play a key role in translating business requirements into effective technology solutions. You will consult with users and project teams to define needs, design and develop IT applications, and conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis to optimize performance. You will also provide analytic and production support, ensuring solutions align with business and IT standards. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset.
This is a permanent role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office.
A typical day would involve:
- Consulting with users and project teams to identify, define, and translate business requirements.
- Designing, developing, and testing IT applications (unit, integration, supplementary).
- Conducting detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of solution design.
- Optimizing project and solution performance across cost, risk, compliance, and business impact.
- Providing analytic and production support and identifying inconsistencies or gaps in solutions.
You have:
- Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application development and support.
- Proficiency in C# .NET platform and Azure cloud services.
- Strong experience with MS SQL, SharePoint Online, and Power Apps.
- ITIL Foundations certification or higher.
- Demonstrated experience in operations and technical support.
- Nice to have: Experience with Python and front-end frameworks (React or JavaScript).
- Nice to have: Basic understanding of financial systems or workflows

The salary range for this role is $71,500 to $107,300 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
