About the role

Industra Construction Corp. is seeking experienced Superintendents to join our growing team for major infrastructure projects across Ontario, including wastewater treatment plants, sewer and water infrastructure, pump stations, and other heavy civil construction projects.

We are actively building our team for several major infrastructure projects that will be announced in the near future. We welcome applications from candidates who are open to relocating for project work, as well as those seeking opportunities closer to home. Depending on the project and location, Living Out Allowance (LOA) may be available for eligible candidates.

This role is ideal for accomplished construction professionals who are confident leading complex projects, managing field crews and subcontractors, maintaining safe and productive job sites, and delivering high-quality work in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership & Execution

Support and act on behalf of the Superintendent during absences or peak activity periods Lead daily site operations, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications Coordinate trades, subcontractors, and internal crews to maintain productivity and schedule adherence Provide hands-on leadership and direction to field teams, ensuring accountability and performance

Sewerage Pump Station Experience

Apply deep knowledge of sewerage pump station construction, including mechanical, civil, and process systems Support planning and execution of shutdowns, tie-ins, and complex sequencing activities Identify constructability issues specific to operating or partially operating facilities and implement practical solutions Ensure work is performed with full consideration of plant operations, safety, and environmental requirements

Planning & Coordination

Assist in developing and executing short-term schedules (e.g., three-week lookaheads) Proactively identify and resolve conflicts, delays, and site constraints Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to align field execution with overall project plan

Safety & Quality

Champion and enforce all safety protocols, particularly in high-risk wastewater environments Ensure all work meets required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety and quality expectations

Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise with client representatives, plant operators, subcontractors, and internal teams Support communication between field and office to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution Maintain strong, professional relationships with all stakeholders on site

Documentation & Reporting

Support completion of daily reports, RFIs, and site documentation – using Procore software Track progress, deficiencies, and completion activities Assist in coordinating inspections and ensuring compliance with local authorities

Scope & Accountability

Acts as the on-site extension and backup to the Superintendent Responsible for maintaining continuity of site operations, particularly during Superintendent absences Ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards Provides experienced oversight in a complex, high-risk wastewater environment

Qualifications & Experience

10+ years of construction experience, with significant time in a senior foreman or superintendent capacity Extensive, hands-on experience working on wastewater treatment plants (required) Proven experience managing complex scopes, shutdowns, and tie-ins within active facilities Strong leadership capability with the ability to step into a Superintendent-level role when required Red Seal or equivalent trade certification considered a requirement

Industra Construction Corp. (formerly Bryco Projects Inc.) was founded in 2011 by brothers Scot and Rob Brydon in Kelowna, British Columbia. With extensive experience in municipal infrastructure and industrial construction, the Brydon brothers set out to pursue their passion for complex and challenging projects, often with logistical challenges. In 2020, our branch office in Victoria, BC was launched to better serve the Vancouver Island and coastal regions of BC. In September 2023, our Toronto, ON office was opened to better serve the Ontario and Central Canada market.
