What you will do
The Accounting Administrator supports financial and administrative activities including preparing routine and operational month-end journal entries, allocating expenses and ensuring adherence to internal controls, processes and privacy/ethical guidelines, receiving and entering invoices, reconciling, processing payroll, maintaining records and performing other related duties as required. The Accounting Administrator works with the Financial Team to ensure program and service funds are processed and utilized appropriately according to policy.
What we need from you
Education and Certification Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration with accounting or equivalent Quickbooks Certification considered an asset Payroll Certification considered an asset Proven general knowledge of accounting principles essential Understanding of the Accounting Standards for Not for Profit Organizations considered an asset Experience Minimum two years’ bookkeeping and data entry in a high-volume environment Experience with QuickBooks Online, Plooto and Dext considered an asset Experience with Easy Pay or other payroll software considered an asset Advanced knowledge of Excel considered an asset Experience in creating/maintaining financial statements in excel including variance analysis considered beneficial
