**Job Type:**Permanent, Full-time
**Work Location:**Onsite (Milton, ON) with flexibility to work remote up to 1 day/week
Salary:$105,000 - $125,000, dependent on experience and qualifications
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives for service, cost, and inventory.
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, and at sites.
- Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
- Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
- Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
- Lead Purchasing: source and negotiate with suppliers for ingredients, packaging, and services; manage contracts, performance, and risks.
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Oversee Logistics, Shipping & Receiving: manage inbound and outbound transportation, 3PLs, warehouse operations, and on time, in full (OTIF) performance.
- Support commercialization: act as supply chain lead on new and changing products, ensuring timelines for materials, packaging, and phase in/phase out are met.
- Lead, develop, and coach the Supply Chain team (purchasing, logistics, shipping/receiving), fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in a relevant field (preferably in Supply Chain Management)
- Minimum 5 years of related experience (preferably as a Supply Chain Manager)
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Dessert Manufacturing Facility or Bakery experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Yellow Belt or higher)
- Strong BRC (or similar GFSI) knowledge or experience.
- Strong knowledge of WHMIS, Chemical Handling, HACCP, GMP, OHSA and regulatory requirements.
