Security Guard - Bilingual Floater
About the role
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated individual to ensure the safety and security of Public Service facilities. As a Bilingual Floater Security Guard , you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through various tasks and duties across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Access Control: Monitor and manage access to the building, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
- Patrols: Conduct thorough and regular foot patrols, both inside and outside the facility, to detect any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Escorting Contractors: Safely escort contractors and visitors throughout the premises as required.
- Post Orders: Follow and enforce established post orders to always maintain a high standard of security protocols.
- Other Duties: Perform additional security-related tasks as assigned to maintain the overall safety of the building.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Must be bilingual (English and French).
- Must be able to obtain Reliability Clearance.
- Must have access to a vehicle and a valid G driver’s license.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with the public and other personnel.
- Proficient in using computer systems for reporting and tracking security activities.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and handle emergencies with calm and focus.
- Must be comfortable standing, sitting, and patrolling for extended periods.
