Job Title: Project Engineer – VFI Delivery
Location: Halifax, NS
Salary: $77,991 – $98,476
What you’ll be doing:

Track and support the resolution of technical issues or conflicts, acting as a bridge between vendor inputs and engineering expectations
-
Liaise with vendors supplying drawings, technical data, and documents, ensuring these are delivered and passed on to the UK teams for review
-
Support communication between engineering, procurement, and project delivery functions to ensure aligned understanding and prioritization of technical deliverables

Promote the importance of timely procurement and usage of technical information across the project
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
-
Experience working in a project, engineering, or vendor-facing environment
-
Solid organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
-
Comfortable working across multiple functions, coordinating between technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
Proven ability to track issues, follow up proactively, and support conflict resolution when information or timelines misalign
Desirable:
- Background in shipbuilding, engineering, or large-scale technical projects

The Design Integration team:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital coordination role between our vendors and supply chain partners. You will act as the on-the-ground interface for technical coordination – ensuring that vendor supplied information is communicated, tracked and managed effectively between engineering, procurement and project delivery functions.
You will report to the Head of Design Integration and work daily with counterparts in the UK, including around 100 technical staff and multiple engineering managers.
