About the role
The Manager, Client Services - Security Operations is responsible for leading, managing, and supporting the day-to-day operations and service delivery of a diverse portfolio of security services across the Pacific Region, including mobile security operations and site-based security contracts. The role provides operational leadership, strengthens client relationships, supports frontline teams, and ensures consistent, high-quality service delivery across multiple client sites and service environments.
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on security, safety, and operational solutions. Manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts, ensuring consistent service delivery, contract compliance, and regular on-site engagement. Develop and implement customized security solutions that address client needs, reduce risk, and optimize security coverage. Oversee day-to-day security operations, including staffing, scheduling, site coverage, and ensuring all shifts are filled by trained and qualified security professionals. Ensure operations remain compliant with contractual obligations, company standards, and applicable British Columbia security and employment legislation. Lead new account start-ups and transitions, coordinating staffing, training, site requirements, Standing Orders, reporting processes, and operational readiness. Provide leadership during incidents and critical situations, ensuring appropriate response, escalation, communication, and follow-up. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), using operational data and reporting to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Oversee site-level security procedures and systems, including CCTV, access control, incident reporting processes, and site-specific operational requirements. Monitor account financial performance, including margins, site costs, spending controls, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Support client retention and account growth by identifying opportunities for service improvements and participating in contract renewals and rate discussions. Maintain a strong on-site presence and work closely with clients, security teams, and internal departments to proactively address operational challenges.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop, and lead high-performing teams. A minimum of 4-6 years of progressive security operations experience in a management or leadership capacity. Proven experience managing client relationships, resolving complex operational challenges, and identifying opportunities for account growth and service improvement. Strong operational leadership experience, including overseeing large teams and supporting multiple client sites. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, employees, and internal stakeholders. A calm and decisive approach under pressure, supported by sound judgment and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Experience developing operational documentation, including policies, procedures, reports, business cases, post orders, and staffing schedules. Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. A valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between client sites. A solid understanding of financial management within a service-based environment, including labour costs, margins, budgets, and other key cost drivers.
