Middle School is a Grade 6-8 school. Our 35 staff provide service to approximately 296 students from the Town of Taber and surrounding area.
1.0 FTE Probationary Principal
Assignment includes- school leadership/principal role.
The
ideal candidate will be a dynamic, student-centered educator possessing the
following qualifications:
-
Successful administrative
experience and demonstrated ability to meet the Leadership Quality
Standard.
-
A Masters is strongly preferred.
-
Team-oriented leadership style
emphasizing collaborative decision-making.
-
Well-developed interpersonal
skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities.
-
A strong understanding of
pedagogy and ability to build staff capacity.
-
Proven record of teaching
excellence in areas of student achievement, student assessment, and
responding to instruction and intervention.
-
Knowledge of the importance of
community engagement, and the ability to foster school, parent, and
community relationships.
This position will remain open until a
suitable candidate is found. Applications will be shortlisted as they are

commences with the 2026-2027 school year.

Horizon spans a geographic area of approximately 30,970 square kilometers, from Bulyea in the south, Wakaw in the north, Foam Lake in the east, and Viscount in the west. The division is divided into 14 Subdivisions for purposes of representation on the Board of Education.
