We have a far-reaching presence across the entire continent North America with hundreds of full-time and part-time opportunities at any given time. We aim to provide our people with more than just a job – we offer fulfilling opportunities in a culture that promotes stability, diversity and inclusion, camaraderie, employee recognition, work-life balance, and doing what you love. For over 75 years, the companies that began independently, and now form Dexterra Group, have been dedicated to serving North American clients to create and manage built environments that play a vital role in our economy and our local communities. And, that’s something we’re truly proud of. Work That Matters, People Who Care. Job Description Role Overview We are seeking a resourceful Carpenter to lead the physical setup, maintenance, and decommissioning of remote workforce camps. Key Responsibilities Modular Installation: Lead the leveling, blocking, and complex joining of modular trailers and "Skid-shack" units. Structural Assembly: Construct decks, stairs, boardwalks, and essential camp infrastructure. Weatherproofing: Install specialized insulation, skirting, and Tin work. Decommissioning: Efficiently dismantle structures for transport, ensuring minimal environmental impact and material salvage. Qualifications Skills & Requirements Experience 3-5 years in commercial or industrial carpentry; remote camp experience is a major plus. Technical Proficiency Expert-level skill with power tools, leveling instruments, and reading blueprints in the field. Adaptability Ability to troubleshoot structural issues with limited materials and "make it work." Physical Stamina Must be comfortable working long shifts (10–12 hours) in extreme weather conditions. Safety First Valid Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform (AWP), and Standard First Aid certifications. This is for the builder who loves a change of scenery and the unique satisfaction of building a "city" where there was once nothing. You’ll be provided with full room and board, travel coverage, and a competitive pay that reflects the grit required for remote work. Additional Information Dexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We are pleased to consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veterans’ status, Indigenous status, or any other legally protected factors. Disability-related accommodations during the hiring selection process are available upon request. #IND5
