Job Summary
The Sr. Test Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software solutions within the cheminformatics and bioinformatics domains. This role requires expertise in TW-Basic Config and Trackwise On-prem with a focus on delivering high-quality testing outcomes. The candidate will work in a hybrid model primarily during day shifts and will not require travel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive testing of software applications to ensure they meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for cheminformatics and bioinformatics applications.
- Utilize TW-Basic Config and Trackwise On-prem to configure and manage testing environments.
- Identify document and track defects and issues ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
- Provide detailed test reports and feedback to stakeholders highlighting areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
- Participate in code reviews and provide input on potential quality improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless integration and deployment of software solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on testing best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.
- Support the development of automated testing frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
Qualifications
- Possess strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of cheminformatics and bioinformatics domains.
- Demonstrate proficiency in TW-Basic Config and Trackwise On-prem for effective testing and configuration management.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in identifying and resolving issues.
- Have a solid understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
- Show ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work model adapting to both remote and in-office environments.
- Display strong communication skills to effectively convey testing results and recommendations.
- Maintain a proactive approach to learning and applying new testing techniques and technologies.
