WHAT IS AMAZING ABOUT THIS JOB:
- Assist the Program Director and Head Instructors for Early Discovery camps by providing support to all programs (ages 4–7 years).
- Assist with inventory count for Discovery camp equipment.
- Float between camps as needed, instructing any Discovery program with limited notice.
- Support Head Instructors in daily activities ensuring camper engagement.
- Assist with cross-camp activities, shows, and tournaments for Discovery campers.
- Ensure compliance with Appleby’s camp procedures and protocols.
- Support safe drop-off and pick-up for Discovery campers with an active presence at these points.
- Assist in ensuring lunches run smoothly and help with clean-up and camper traffic flow.
- Set up weekly theme decorations and assist in preparing activities.
- Support swim assessments under the direction of the Head Lifeguard.
YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

Completed second year of post-secondary education with experience instructing children aged 4–7.
-
Related work experience in Early Childhood Education, pre-school, or school-age environments.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.
-
Ability to host and direct activities in front of large groups.
-
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR – C or higher.
-
Knowledge or certification in Bronze Cross or Lifeguarding is an asset.
-
Valid driver’s license is an asset.

Camp Session Dates & Hours
- Monday June 22 to Friday August 28, 2026 (excluding holidays)
- Weekdays 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
