What You’ll Do
As theManager, Facility Services, you will lead the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of our diverse facilities across the park system. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our buildings, infrastructure, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably, supporting world-class visitor experiences year-round.

You will:
- Lead and oversee all facility maintenance operations across Niagara Parks, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service delivery.
- Manage and support multidisciplinary trades teams and external contractors in a unionized environment.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventative maintenance, daily operations, and infrastructure repairs.
- Manage the Facility Services operating budget, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee facility projects, contractor performance, and compliance with NPC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize the CMMS to track work orders, productivity, labour, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and promote a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate with internal departments, consultants, and external stakeholders to support operational and project outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and asset optimization.
- Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and NPC standards.
- Support staff development, performance management, training, and workforce planning in a unionized environment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Community College Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One or more Ministry of Colleges and Universities Certificates of Qualification from the Construction Sector.
- 5–7 years of progressive management experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in facilities maintenance, project coordination, and contractor management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, welding, and fabrication.
- Proven experience with budgeting, cost control, planning, scheduling, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CMMS platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Class G Driver’s License.
- Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
- Ability to meet requirements of working additional hours and responsibilities beyond normal working hours, during emergencies, winter operations and NPC special events.
