Job Description
The General Machinist/Tool and Die Maker will (upon completion of training):
- Perform mill & lathe work: Modify and repair mold equipment, mold holders, fixtures, jigs, etc.
- Setup and Operate Haas CNC Mills and Lathe
- Perform Bench Operations such as blending, shaping, matching cavities, making capacity corrections, necessary cavity relief and pantograph work where standard numerals and monograms are used
- Make changes in design or capacity of the molds based on customer demands
The General Machinist/Tool and Die Maker should have:

Experience with precision measuring devices, such as calipers, depth gauges and micrometers

Machinist skills in measuring and setting up lathes
-
Experience using vibrating tools, such as grinders
-
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
-
A desire to learn and grow into the Journeyman position
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
-
Must possess a General Machinist 429A or Tool and Die Maker License 430A from Ministry
-
Mold Repair Experience preferred (Plastic injection, glass)
-
Certificate or Diploma in CNC setup and Programming using G and M codes is an asset
-
Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
-
Comfortable lifting equipment up to 50lbs
-
Must be able to work overtime, including weekend and overnight shifts

Must be able to work continental 12 hour shifts
