About the role

There are stories that begin with privilege, opportunity, and access.

Mine begins with soil.

My family’s earning source has always been agriculture, farming passed down through generations, built on early mornings, unpredictable seasons, and the kind of strength that doesn’t announce itself. My parents completed school, started working early, and learned life not from textbooks but from responsibility.

And yet, despite the simplicity of our background, or maybe because of it, they carried dreams bigger than our village… dreams they handed to me.

Growing Up Where Hard Work Was the Only Language

Some children grow up around offices.

Some around businesses.

I grew up around fields.

I watched my father check the crops under harsh sunlight, carefully planning each step. I saw my mother manage everything with a quiet resilience, balancing the home, the land, and the unpredictable nature of farming.

They didn’t teach me success with big speeches.

They Taught It With Actions

Show up even when it’s hard. Keep going even when you don’t know the outcome. Your starting point doesn’t define your end point.

Their world was simple, but their lessons were anything but.

The Motivation That Shaped Me

My parents never got the chance to chase big dreams, but they made sure I did.

My father used to say, “We work in the fields so you can work in a different world.”

And my mother always reminded me, “Dreams take us further than our feet ever can.”

Those words stayed with me.

They fueled me through exams, through self-doubt, through the moments where I wondered if someone from a small town could really aim higher.

They Also Made Me Believe Something Powerful

Background is not a barrier, it’s a foundation.

Leaving Home, Carrying Everything With Me

When I boarded the flight to Canada, I wasn’t just leaving my home.

I Was Carrying

my parents’ sacrifices, their hopes, and every lesson learned in the fields.

Nothing prepares you for the moment you step into a new country.

Nothing prepares you for the loneliness, the excitement, the uncertainty, the responsibility.

But every time I struggled, I reminded myself,

“If my parents could build a life from the ground up, I can build mine too.”

Their strength became my comfort.

Their resilience became my discipline.

Their dreams became my direction.

Walking a Path They Once Imagined for Me

Today, when I study, work, or take steps toward my career, I think about the distance between where I started and where I stand.

A small town.

Farmlands.

Parents with school-level education.

And now,

A life I am building in another country, through my own efforts, but with their courage behind me.

This journey isn’t just mine.

It belongs to them too.

Because every opportunity I get…

Every challenge I overcome…

Every milestone I reach…

Is a tribute to the hands that planted the first seeds, not in the soil, but in me.

The Bigger Truth: Dreams Travel Further Than We Do

I once believed that dreams belonged to people born in big cities, with perfect resources and perfect plans.

But Now I Know The Truth

Dreams belong to anyone who is brave enough to carry them.

My parents’ dreams traveled through fields, crossed small-town roads, reached our home, reached me, and then traveled with me across oceans.

That’s the power of where we come from.

It can take us places we never imagined.

Reflection

My journey from a farming family to Canada isn’t just a story of moving countries, it’s a story of moving forward.

Of rising from simplicity.

Of honouring sacrifice.

Of believing that beginnings don’t define limits.

They define direction.

And I Hope Anyone Reading This Remembers

You don’t need extraordinary beginnings to build an extraordinary life.

Sometimes, the quietest roots grow the strongest wings.

If your dreams feel “too big” for where you started, trust me, they’re not.

Your background is not your boundary.

It’s your strength.

Share your story or your beginning in the comments, I’d love to know what shaped you.
