The Team Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leader to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.

The Lead, Change Management is responsible for leading and driving the change management discipline on an EPC project. This role ensures that changes to scope, cost, schedule, and execution strategy are identified early, assessed consistently, governed appropriately, and communicated effectively across the project.

The Lead, Change Management acts as the subject matter expert for change governance, impact assessment, and change integration, supporting project leadership in protecting project outcomes and enabling informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

While this role is tied administratively to our Oakville, ON office, the position itself will be based on-site at the project location in the southwestern area of the Athabasca Basin, in Northern Saskatchewan on a rotating basis.

How You Will Contribute

  • Lead the development and implementation of the project change management framework, including processes, tools, and governance for scope, cost, schedule, and execution changes.
  • Serve as the focal point for identification, logging, evaluation, and tracking of project changes, ensuring changes are documented, traceable, and aligned with contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary impact assessments for proposed changes, including cost, schedule, risk, constructability, and resource impacts.
  • Facilitate change review boards and governance forums, providing clear, data-driven recommendations to project leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, and commercial teams to ensure early visibility of emerging changes and execution impacts.
  • Ensure approved changes and potential change impacts are reflected in project forecasts, execution plans, and performance reporting.
  • Support contract and commercial teams by developing change documentation to support variations, claims, and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor cumulative change impacts and trends to identify systemic risks, scope creep, or execution challenges.
  • Develop and maintain change management metrics and dashboards, including change volume, approval status, financial exposure, and schedule impact.
  • Provide guidance and informal leadership to project teams on change identification, change discipline, and adherence to governance processes.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate, contractual, and client-specific change management standards and requirements.
  • Act as a key interface between the project team and client representatives on matters related to change management and change governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience on large-scale EPC or capital projects, with demonstrated experience in change management, project controls, or commercial management roles.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts and change mechanisms, including variations, change orders, and claims.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Experience working closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial disciplines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, complex project environments.

The salary range is $142,400 - $175,300 CAD annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
