EIPS is recruiting a temporary part-time (0.353 FTE) Grade 5 Teacher at Fultonvale Elementary Junior High. This is an afternoon teaching assignment, teaching Grade 5 Math, Social Studies, and French.

Fultonvale Elementary Junior High serves approximately 450 students in kindergarten to Grade 9, with 23 teaching staff and seven support staff. The school is located in rural Strathcona County, AB, approximately 13 kilometres southeast of Sherwood Park, AB.

The Fultonvale Elementary Junior High mission is to provide a positive environment where students are able to develop to their full potential. The school promotes lifelong learning and continuous personal growth and development for all students, staff and families. The school motto "Feel the H.E.A.T.", represents the basic beliefs of heart, excellence, attitude and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education degree

  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

  • Effective organization and classroom management skills

  • Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

  • Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
