About the role

Role impact:

The Program Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of complex technology solutions organized in either projects or programs consisting of projects to support Cadillac Fairview’s business goals and objectives. The incumbent will manage program delivery across various technology platforms, business functions and capabilities in a Multi-Speed Data & Technology environment.

What you will deliver:

  • Manage multiple, complex technology programs and projects simultaneously, using waterfall and/or hybrid agile methodology and provide project/ process /change management and oversight during all project phases including pre and post go-live
  • Work closely with business stakeholders (any of Digital & Innovation, Marketing, Finance, Operations and/or Data & Technology (D&T) managers/directors) to determine project scope and vision, and set expectations
  • Monitor business process performance and manage timelines/schedule to keep projects on track by prioritizing technical activities and work load, ensuring linkages/interdependencies with other projects are regarded
  • Identify performance gaps, issues and barriers as well as track, manage issue logs and work through resolution
  • Collaborate with technology stakeholders to identify dependencies, create software requirements, develop and maintain project schedules and track milestones
  • Facilitate communication between external partners, development teams, QA, product management, UX, and Content developers, enterprise architecture, security and others to ensure understanding and alignment on plans, target dates and milestones
  • Produce status reports, meeting minutes, plans and other standard project delivery artifacts required for facilitating the delivery process. Monitor delivery risks, mitigating as required, and removing barriers
  • Design, develop and implement highly complex process flows in collaboration with multiple teams
  • Identify gaps and innovate process improvements to gain operational efficiency
  • Establish and manage strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure high client satisfaction
  • Proactively identify areas of potential conflict or contention with existing technology solutions, and work with necessary stakeholders (D&T, National Ops, Marketing, Finance, HR or any other teams) to resolve or escalate issue resolution. Mediate between stakeholders and team members as required.
  • Facilitates Program Financial Management process
  • Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members

What your strengths are:

  • Results oriented mind-set, coupled with a relentless desire to remove obstacles and accelerate delivery
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and be able to handle a high level of ambiguity and rapid changes in priorities
  • Experience with Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience delivering Business to Consumer Digital and Analytical solutions
  • Strong understanding of the ‘customer journey’ concept and exhibiting a customer focused mindset
  • Experience with performance testing of scalable customer facing solutions
  • Functional understanding of how modern software/SaaS, hardware/cloud, and networking technical platforms operate, integrate and are supported
  • Proven track record in leading initiatives that leveraged agile, Kanban, iterative and waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to act independently, take initiative and drive tasks and issues to resolution.
  • Corporate savviness, including proven ability to manage stakeholders’ expectations and inter-company politics
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation and problem solving skills are essential

What you need to succeed:

  • Post-secondary education in Business IT Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Successful track record and minimum 10 years in leading large complex multi-millon $ B2C projects or programs
  • Experience and knowledge of process improvement mapping, project management and change management principles and methodologies e.g. Six Sigma/LEAN
  • Strong project management skills, demonstrated ability to structure and plan work to deliver the right results on time and on budget
  • Excellent understanding of application development lifecycle concepts
  • Good understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Good knowledge of technology environments, including network infrastructure, servers and operating systems
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building skills; ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong facilitation, presentation and coaching skills with the ability to ask questions and engage others in meaningful discussions
  • PMP certification
  • PgMP certification is an asset but not required.
  • ITIL certification would be an asset
  • Scrum Master Certification would be an asset

Starting base salary for this job level may range from $100,712 to $134,283. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range. Cadillac Fairview offers a competitive total rewards package in addition to base pay which may include a performance – based incentive plan, a comprehensive pension and benefits plan, paid time off including vacation, well-being & volunteer days and support for continued growth and development.
