Location: Mission Valley Post Acute
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | AM & PM Shifts Available

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Dietary Cook to join our team. In this important role, you will help create nutritious, appetizing meals that support our residents' health, well-being, and overall dining experience. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines Ensure meals meet residents' nutritional requirements and physician-ordered diets Modify food preparation to accommodate special dietary needs, including diabetic, low-sodium, and texture-modified diets Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment Properly store, label, and rotate food items to ensure freshness and compliance Assist with inventory management and communicate supply needs to leadership Support meal service operations and ensure proper portion control Collaborate with dietary staff and interdisciplinary team members to provide excellent resident care
Qualifications
Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or food service setting preferred Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets is a plus Current Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain upon hire Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
