ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)

Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Health Administration or equivalent experience.

CPA designation (achieved or in progress).
-
Minimum three years financial experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.

Solid understanding of accounting principles.
-
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, benchmarking and other performance analytics.
-
Skilled in data mining and reporting tools (Crystal Reports, SQL, Power BI , Excel).
-
OHRS certification and knowledge of MOH policies preferred.
-
Understanding of clinical, statistical and financial data and its impact on funding models is an asset.

Critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Proven ability in advanced analysis and interpretation of large data sets.

Detail oriented with the ability to manager multiple priorities.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)

Lead the development of annual budgets aligned with hospital funding models and OHRS guidelines.
-
Monitor and reconcile financial and statistical data across systems, investigating discrepancies.
-
Support business case initiatives through robust development and analysis.
-
Support monthly performance reviews to assist leaders in identifying opportunities for improvement.
-
Conduct benchmarking and KPI analysis to help programs become top performers.
-
Prepare internal and external reports, and respond to ad hoc data requests.
-
Educate stakeholders on HSFR, OCDM, KPIs, and OHRS to support operational planning.
-
Partner with Senior Financial Analysts, providing requisite review and support for variance analysis, reconciliations, technical accounting entry, process improvement, reporting and year-end audit.
