Intermodal Coordinator

SUMMARY – Intermodal Coordinator
Shift: Monday to Friday ; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

KEY ACTIVITIES
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete daily tracking reports on high-value or temperature sensitive loads.
- Monitor and action temperature discrepancies and troubleshoot reefer codes and failures in order to maintain product integrity.
- Investigate delays, left-behinds, billing issues, etc. and report concerns to the appropriate parties; escalate rail transit delays as required.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Manage day-to-day and performing dispatch duties for Saskatchewan, Maritime Provinces and US loads.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain data integrity for all orders including document scanning.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Education
- High School Diploma – Preferred
- Certification in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years’ dispatch experience in rail or road operations with temperature controlled product.
- Superior organizational skills including time management, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and good judgement; proven ability to respond or escalate inquiries appropriately.
- Ability to clearly communicate problems and solutions to others.
- Proven ability to work independently is essential.
- Proficient in critical thinking and decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external customers.
- Driven to achieve high-levels of customer satisfaction.
- Strong computer and analytics skills including superior knowledge of spreadsheet and related software. Experience with TMW, Microsoft Excel, Telematics, CN One, Fleetlink, iBright, TK Tracking, would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of CN’s network including terminal abilities, challenges and cut-offs would be considered an asset.
