Employment Status Part Time Employment Type Fixed Term Job Summary Specific Duties
The classroom aide could perform such duties as:
- Obtaining necessary materials as required for class use;
- Assisting the instructor with preparation for the course;
- Organizing of classroom facilities and class activities;
- Assist the instructor with testing and recordkeeping;
- Under the direction of the instructor, individual tutoring of students and instruction of particular segments of the course may also be required.
- Being part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities;
- Promoting a positive work atmosphere and communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues;
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be familiar with the content in applicable program;
- Strong English skills;
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Display strong interpersonal skills;
- Understanding of Aboriginal culture, communities, and language;
- Secondary school certificate is required, post secondary education is desirable.
- You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners.
- You will promote a positive work atmosphere by interacting and communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.
