Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Digital Health, the Project Manager, IT will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple strategic projects, from planning to implementation. This role will define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success measures in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A focus on health technology and patient safety is integral to all project activities.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success measures in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Communicate project requirements, goals, and progress clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and address potential project risks or roadblocks, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Monitor project progress, report regularly on milestones, and adjust plans as needed to stay on track.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring needs are understood and satisfaction is achieved throughout the project.
- Facilitate regular team meetings, offering clear guidance, support, and motivation to achieve deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, designers, and quality assurance specialists to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure compliance with established project management methodologies, standardized processes, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Incorporate patient safety considerations into all aspects of project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant healthcare or related discipline required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Project Manager.
- Healthcare experience considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety, considering the safety of self and co-workers.
- Experience leading complex strategic projects – including setting priorities, evaluating and managing risks, and monitoring performance, preferably with a health technology focus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate the activities of several team members to achieve deliverables and meet project deadlines.
- Experience managing stakeholders to ensure that there is agreement on scope, approach, deliverables and budget to achieve overall success of the projects.
